Merrin and I saw this when we drove through Arkansas last summer. Finally, truth in advertising!!!
When I read this, I wanted to do a back flip! Now, I'm a geek – I admit that. But I'm also a lazy geek. So this Windows Tip was especially exciting to me.
Do you wish you could clik "Start" and get almost instant access to your Inbox, Network Neighborhood or the Control Panel? Here's the details:
Be warned: Back up your registry first! Dont' know how? Open regedit (Start>Run>regedit) and then click Registry>Export Registry. Save it on a disk so you can restore it if needed. So, technically, that's two neat tips today! WOW!
Almost 1,000 hits on the webcam. "Insane" is the only word that comes to mind.
Things are coming along nicely with the Donahue Family Tree. I have decided to host it as a portal site at once it is ready. There will be forums and several tools available. Look for that to be 100% finished by the end of August, but launched sometime in the next two weeks.
I dropped 1 stroke on my handicap in golf!! For my regular partners, I am planning to add more statistical data to the golf pages. Give me a week or so as I figure it out.
HBO has scheduled an encore run of the first three seasons of THE SOPRANOS back-to-back for the first time ever. Beginning Sunday, Aug. 12 (8:00-9:00PM ET), every Sunday night for 39 weeks, concluding in mid-2002. I love my wife. She's the best. We had an awesome vacation together in Florida and I really hope she had as much fun being with me as I did spending time with her.
We're off for a date tonight. First one in a month or so (unless you count vacation!) We're going out for dinner and a movie. Who knows? Maybe we'll splurge and get ice cream afterwards!
So, if you're out tonight and you see some beautiful woman walking around with a troll, please come up to us and say hi!
This whole webcam thing is going a little overboard. We put up the "live" version on Wednesday night (I think). Since then, we've had over 350 viewers and counting! The camera is hosted on a public server (www.camarades.com) and they "list" all the public camaras. So, I guess the dogs are on their way to instant celebrity!!
I am working on allowing email notification for my log posts and Merrin's posts (yeah, right!) It should be working by the end of the week. Be on the lookout. Also, Merrin asked me today how to "write stuff on the internet", so perhaps she is planning some power posting! More later!
We've returned to Texas after a much needed trip to Florida for my brother's wedding. It was a beautiful service with a great reception. We had so much fun.
We met some really great people and already miss our new friends. Want to say "Hi!" to Mary & Andrea in NY. You guys need to load up your men and move to Texas. (The drinks are better here!!)
I will post more about the wedding soon. We are waiting to get our pictures back. I am putting together a 6-10 minute video from photos and vid made during the wedding festivities. If anyone has anything to contribute (photos?), please email me using the link @ the top of the page. Or –even better– if you shelled out the extra $5 for a photo CD, email me ASAP so I can get you my address.
We put up a new webcam today. Please don't ask me, "Why?" We just did it because we can.
Itching for the 4th of July and all the fireworks? Well, get in a few early with this neat fireworks viewer. Once the show loads (very fast — even on a mo-dumb) you can select what fireworks you want to shoot. You can select the city backdrop by selecting Options and changing the city. All this and the 1812 Overture, who could ask for anything more?! Check it out: Shoot Phantom Fireworks Online!
Make sure you select "Tampa, FL" as a backdrop. Maybe Merrin & I will be able to see your fireworks from the dock o' the bay!!
Brian and Courtney's Wedding is just a few days away. (We're just one week from the bachelor party!!) We head to Tampa on Sunday for all the festivities. Can't wait to see these kids get married. They're great for one another. Congrats, Brian & Courtney.
I just realized that I forgot to enlighten you with the latest tales of golf victory. I am running 4-1 over the last five weeks vs. Keith. This past week, however, was really a battle of attrition more than anything else. We played the outstanding Creeks of Beachwood (view course). For those of you who follow golf, all you need to know is this is a new Troon Golf/Greg Norman course. The kid at the clubhouse told us that Norman shot 4 over a few months ago. We should have turned around and gone home when we heard that!
We fought through a very tough course and lived to fight another day. We had a great time and –best of all– I won! Kinda becoming a foregone conclusion, huh?
