Navigon is Navi-gone

by Kevin Donahue on May 31, 2009

I don't know if you recall my fasicnation a few years ago with the Navigon GPS units.

Fast forward to news that Navigon is pulling out of the US market. The economy combined with huge price cuts from Garmin pretty much forced them out.

It's a shame because Navigon was innovating – free lifetime traffic & map updates, 3-D views, bluetooth, Outlook/Address Book integration for phone calls/directions, etc, etc, etc.

While they intend to support existing owners, let the buyer beware that Navigon is navi-gone.
