The Newest Donahue
This little guy came into our life last night and… I gotta tell ya… I think he's a keeper.
Merrin has already ruled out some FSU-related and Buffett-related names, but we're hopeful that we get to see enough of his personality this weekend to find the right name.
Y'all have a great weekend. I probably won't be by the channel much… puppy duty (doodie?) and all.

Let's play the pyramid
For those of you old enough to remember watching The $25,000 Pyramid during sick days:
My pants….
My suits….
My watch….
My wedding ring….
My work shirts….
What are things that are too big for you now? DING! DING! DING!
I swear, this losing weight thing is pretty cool, but… until I get down to [insert ideal weight here], I'm going to be looking like a kid in hand-me-downs. ![]()

George Carlin, 1937 - 2008
The world has lost a comedy LEGEND… George Carlin (1937-2008).
Carlin's jokes constantly breached the accepted boundaries of comedy and language, particularly with his routine on the "Seven Words" — all of which are taboo on broadcast TV and radio to this day. When he uttered all seven at a show in Milwaukee in 1972, he was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, freed on $150 bail and exonerated when a Wisconsin judge dismissed the case, saying it was indecent but citing free speech and the lack of any disturbance.
When the words were later played on a New York radio station, they resulted in a 1978 Supreme Court ruling upholding the government's authority to sanction stations for broadcasting offensive language during hours when children might be listening.
"So my name is a footnote in American legal history, which I'm perversely kind of proud of," he told The Associated Press earlier this year.

Music to Solstice by
The solstice officailly kicks off summer today at about 6:59. In the spirit of welcoming our new season, here's a little summertime music to help you get your solstice on! Follow the links to listen or download!
In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry
Brown Eyed Girl by Jimmy Buffett
(It lacks the word "summer", but… this is the anthem of summer and I love this version!)
Summertime by Kenny Chesney
Boys of Summer by Don Henley
Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
Cruel Summer (remix) by The Hit Crew
(This version is nowhere near as good as the Blestenation mix from the Blue Crush Soundtrack)
PS - This list has inspired me to drop my "Summertime" playlist on you this weekend, so stop on by!

A brutally painful, inspirational read
Everyone knows that John McCain was a POW in North Vietnam, but I don't know if too many have read his 1973 account of his capture & abuse from US News & World Report. It's just… wow.

Thar she blows!!
Leave it to Radio Margaritaville to remind me that… yeah… my stupid heart attack caused us to miss our annual May trip to the Abacos.
I guess I've been on a completely different planet, because I didn't realize that the Treasure Cay Championship wrapped this weekend. That means all the fishermen & "boat people" are in the Abacos awaiting the Boat Harbor Championship next week, but it looks like they've got their work cut out for them.
From the results board, someone scored a 904lb blue marlin. 904 pounds?!?! Yikes!
I suspect we'll get to the Abacos at least once before the winter, but it looks like someone already caught "my fish"!

I have no idea if I'll ever actually share anything on Google Shares (I suspect I will), but… if you've got a google account - you've got shared stuff!
