So the FIOS guys were out last week to lay the fiber for our new service. Apparently they're really serious about as dropping Comcast, though, as they cut through our existing cable line during their install – knocking out the cable internet completely.
Since the FIOS won't be fully active until next week, that left us on dialup for a few days until the Comcast guys could come lay new copper. (They were *so* thrilled to be laying new copper next to the FIOS. So thrilled.)
Now I'm all for the "no quarter given" approach –hell, that's *my* style– but the FIOS service better be damn good if they expect me to cut the cable…for good. In the meantime, I've got a new Comcast copper pipe just waiting for me if Verizon s*cks.
