Want to save $150? Upgrade your internet

by Kevin Donahue on February 25, 2006

After drooling over looking into Verizon FIOS service for the better part of a year, I'm glad to say we're finally going for it. After reading through all the reviews in Flower Mound, it just seemed like a no-brainer.

The kicker? We're going from 4MB speed to 15MB and we're going to save at least $12/month. More speed and more money? Yahootie!

Bye, bye Comcast. Hello, FIOS!!

I tried to see if it was available at my address, and their verification script told me, "You have entered an invalid City. Please re-enter your City again."

I don't have a whole lot of faith in 'em…LOL.

Something is coming to mind about Allen being a city of invalids…. :-)

Be forewarned that they block several different standard ports (such as SMTP). That being said, color me envious.

No problemo for me – I don't host my own mail server.
