You go, adult stem cells!

Fantastic news:

…scientists at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh have discovered that adult, or post-natal, stem cells have the same ability as embryonic stem cells to multiply, a previously unknown characteristic indicating that [adult] stem cells may play an important therapeutic role.

A greener NYC

Starwood Hotels dedicated a new fuel cell at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers. The new cell supplies 10% of the hotel's electricity & hot water and will serve as an emergency power source during outages. The new fuel cell is the third to be installed in NYC area Sheraton hotels.

This is the kind of innovation that sets Starwood apart.

Blingin' and ballin'

I saw Corey say that he was clockin' San Andreas between quakes, so I went and got it too. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas should *never* - not under any circumstances - come within 100 yards of anyone under college age.

That being said, I'm totally rollin'.

It's all about the bacon

This month's Maxim has a great tip to keep your bacon from curling:

Before cooking, run the strips under cold water and they won't curl up in the pan. Perfect for sandwiches. And arterial clogging!

I ran this past Chef and this is a known 'trade-secret'. So, if you're in the mood for a bacon sammich (and who isn't?!), here ya go.

And one more thing while we're at it: Quit buying cheap bacon. Get ya some applewood smoked bacon - you'll thank me later.

Not one but two!!

I'm so glad that this is finally hitting the newspapers so I can talk about it. We are adding two new hotels to the resort grounds, plus additional office space, restaurants and retail, as well as another spa. There is a press conference tonight to unveil the photos, but some sketches are online.
