Spray, spray, spray

OK. So I'm getting my bed liner sprayed in the morning. (Isn't my life is exciting?!)

Finally! De-mystifying the restaurant pager

I've always known that those restaurant pagers reach farther than the hostess tells you they do. Now LAist has confirmed it.

Rosie has a digital camera

Rosie has a digital camera, so her photos are on Flickr, natch. How do we know? It's on her blog, of course.

Feedburner to support Google AdSense

As Google slowly trickles out AdSense for RSS in a select pilot, word from Feedburner is that they will definitely support Google AdSense.

FeedBurner makes it simple to implement the AdSense service if you can't or don't want to edit your source feed templates, or you just want additional flexibility in determining frequency of ads, ability to prevent ads on short posts and other ad control mechanisms for your feed.

I can't say enough good things about those Feedburner guys.

10 years & a truck

I learned today that I am now, officially, a Texan. I may be an adopted Texan, but with 10+ years and a truck, I'm a Texan.

I never ask a man where he's from. After all, if he's from Texas he'll probably tell me, and if he's not I don't want to embarrass him.

Tzoyz

Since no one in this family (yeah, there's just two of us, but we're a family…deal) can get a new toy without the other one getting an equally cool toy, Merrin is the proud owner of a PSP.

She's been wanting one for a while, but it's kinda hard to say "wait until your birthday" when there's another shiny new black toy around the house, ya know?

Anyway, just for the lovely Mrs. Donahue, here's a quick-start guide to some PSP hacks.

An update: Dress rehearsal?

Remember the story of the hijacking "dress rehearsal" from last summer? Turns out that the Feds are exceptionally interested, too. Why? As it turns out, Mohommad Atta did a dry run on what's become known as the James Wood flight. Another must read - we cannot keep turning a blind eye.

Mp3s on the go, on the cheap

Now any USB flash drive is an MP3 player in your car. For less than $30, you've got a really good FM modulator that plays from thumb drives or connects to traditional mp3 players. Think of it as an iPod with iTrip, without the iPod or the iTrip, plus…oh…$100 left in your pocket.

Hey…where'd that come from?!

Who parked that new truck in front of my house? Oh, yeah, I did. :)

I know a secret

I know where we're going for our fifth wedding anniversary next week and you don't. Ha-ha.

The new Pope

I'm not Catholic. With that disclosure out of the way, I'm disappointed in the choice of Pope. I think the Catholic Church missed an opportunity to select an African or Latin American Pope. It's a shame, because so much of the Catholic world is from developing nations.

Flickr rocks!

I suspect you're going to see a lot of kudos for Flickr in the next day or two. Why? They're rewarding Pro members with some goodies because –in their words– I rock!

You may have heard on the grapevine that we planned to
reward our dear Flickr members who bought a Pro Account in
the early days. Well, it's true! And since you're one of
those lovely people, here's a little something to say YOU
ROCK!

1. Double what you paid for!
Your original 1 year pro account has been doubled to
2 years, and your new expiry date is [edited].

2. More capacity!
Now you can upload 2 GB per month.

3. 2 free Pro Accounts to give away to your friends!
This won't be activated for a day or two, but when it
is, you'll see a note on your home page telling you
what to do.

Thank you so much for putting your money where your mouth
is and supporting us, even while we're in beta. Your
generosity and cold, hard cash helped us get where we are
today.

Kind regards,
The Flickreenies.

So, I'll be upgrading nf0 to a Pro member and enjoying the extra capacity. Flickr rocks!
