Gmail Tools

Seems like there are more & more people getting Gmail and more & more Gmail tools popping up on the web. Some of them are pretty handy, so here's a quick list of some that I might try:

GTray – an icon for notification of new Gmail in your system tray

G-Mailto – a simple tool to convert "mailto:" links to work with Gmail.

MBox Converter – Import Mbox and MailDir files into Gmail

Pop Goes Gmail – Use a POP tool (outlook, thunderbird) to access Gmail

GetMail for Hotmail – Forward your Hotmail account to Gmail

  1. It's a shame GTray requires an open browser window… I'd LOVE something like that if it'd just check in the background.

  2. Cool!! 😀 Thanks for the links. They're definitely going to come in handy. 🙂

  3. I have written another tool, an addressbook exporter for Unix folks who use Pine and want to switch to gmail. I also have a procmail recipie for unix mail replication to gmail.
