Ouch

Yo estoy un lobsterIn getting dressed this morning, I went with a brown/olive stripe suit with a white shirt. I never realized just how very sunburned I am until I put on that white dress shirt. I thought it might be bad last night when Merrin mentioned it, but I was already hopped up on Tylenol and Benadryl. Even my lips are sunburnt!

Wow. I'm a lobster. I'm Hooters' wing sauce. I think I'm glowing. I'm almost magenta.

  1. wet tea bags for a sunburn! Done it myself.
need extra relief pickels! I kid you not-you can buy the big canister at Costco.

  2. I've always found that a light covering of Milk of Magnesia or rubbing the burn with half a ripe tomato will provide relief.

Plus, don't let yourself or your skin get dehydrated.

  3. I've found that whacking your thumb with either end of a ball-peen hammer will get your mind off your sunburn/abcess/shingles/myocardial infarction every time.

Even if you have no material maladies, it always feels so good when you stop.

  4. Once again, schmed chimes in with the perfect answer. I was thinking of that very thing myself, ball-peen and all. There are so many things that can be solved with a ball-peen, from personal discomforts to ornery pets.

Well, not really, but you get the idea. Aloe Vera, to the rescue!
