Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful…beautiful blog

by Kevin Donahue on December 14, 2003

OK. Way back when, I pointed out the exceptional design of the 6Weather page. (Actually, I called it the coolest weather website ever.) I've (finally) stumbled onto a blog that has incorporated some of the same design elements to create one of the most stunning designs I've seen on a blog. And it's not just good looking, it's actually functional.

From the author's Colophon, the image displayed at the top is a cartoon recreation of the actual panorama from his house (sheep & all). The page grabs the XML feed from Weather.com and updates the graphics to represent day/night, phases of the moon, the real-time weather conditions, and the stars are shown in the position of the various signs of the zodiac.

Now seriously, how freakin' cool is that?! Josh – hook me up, brother!
