On the heels of their successful show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, it seems America's favorite gay men are now off to make a fortune. First, there's the requisite calendar. And, of course, a book ("The Fab 5's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better, and Living Better") which will be available in February. Now Carson is writing his own book on men's fashion for the everyman.
I don't have a problem with any of this. I think these guys should get rich because –to be perfectly blunt– a lot of us guys need this kind of advise. I mean, where else are we going to learn all about product?!
And I'm hoping that grooming guy Kyan Douglas gets his own line of skin care products (or at least starts endorsing one) because the stuff he's been pushing on the show is either to foo-foo for the average guy, or $20 a bottle. C'mon, Kyan! Don't you know the average Joe isn't going to buy it unless it's under $5 and available pretty much anywhere?!
