FSU stuffs the 'Buffs

FSU 47 Colorado 7

The defending Big XII North champs run into the defending ACC champs and got their Buffalo hide tanned by the 'Noles. FSU ripped Colorado 47-7. FSU made a big statement in this game as they seem to have regained their swagger. I even saw an end-zone dance. Five sacks by the defense, a blocked punt and special teams touchdown, and a career high 395 yards passing for Rix — all in all, I'd say the Seminoles looked like a top five team. They probably won't see a huge bump in the polls (even though they've earned it), but that's OK – I'm content to just sneak up on OU and meet 'em in New Orleans.

Next up is Duke, so that's almost a bye. Then we have an off weak before the big game against the Hurricanes. I'm hoping Miami can take care of business against BC and West Virginia before the FSU game. We don't want them dropping down in the polls before we have our shot at them.

Great game – even Merrin was doing the War Chant. The satellite feed even stayed with the game long enough that I got to hear the fourth quarter song! Go 'Noles!

  1. If the top 10 continues with the shakeups as of late, you just may get your chance. 😉 Of course, first we've gotta get by the 'whorns and you've gotta get by the 'Canes…

  2. Actually, Oklahoma is the defending Big XII Conference Champs. Colorado got their keesters handed to them in the Championship game by the Sooners.
