You people who ask for cd-keys are idiots. Why would anybody in their right mind share a cd-key? If you people want a cd-key you have two options. Go buy one or go search on a site like

I reinstalled the xp professional disk and for some reason the same product key doesnt work again, why is that? Can someone help me, i cant get into the computer without it. I need a new key or a way around the product key.

P.S. One more quick thing. Not only did I spell the word "possibly" wrong in my post, but I also forgot to mention that the Jelly Bean program runs correctly with NO problems on my new computer. It's the ViewKeyXp.exe and WindowsXP Product Key Viewer.exe that do NOT work on my new computer–but, why does it work on my old computer then?

Hey there,

I find that the product key viewer (ViewKeyXP.exe or WindowsXP Product Key Viewer.exe) does NOT work on my new computer BUT it does work on my old computer. However, the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder DOES work on my new computer. Both computers run Windows XP Professional. I just wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem–I think I read the posts, and it seems that someone has. Every time I attempt to open up the program on my new computer, it says, "Product Key Viewer for Windows XP has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for your inconvenience." This really pisses me off–what could possbibly be blocking the program from reading the registry code that contains the Windows XP product key? Hell, I even tried running the program will my virus scanner disabled. This confuses me! Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

Is there a ViewKey for Windows server 2003? I have a VLK, but someone stole the license info. I've got it installed on 6 servers, but need the key for another installation.

Thanks! I was about to reformat my laptop when I found that XP wouldn't accept the product key listed on the bottom (on the COA sticker). So I found this thread and tried your link, it worked but the product key the program displayed is different than the one listed on my PC…I don't know what that's all about, but thank you again for your help!
