Three weekends, no golf

For the third straight week, I didn't lose any money playing golf. (It's amazing how little I lose when I don't play!) Too much work this weekend, which was a shame because the weather has been a little cooler (80s-90s) than we normally have in late August.

Speaking of golf, I am including this picture to inspire all of my golf buddies:

More later! Have a great week!

Hannibal

I bought Hannibal on DVD and I gotta tell you - it might be better @ home than @ the movies. The extras on the DVD are great. Enough good stuff to ensure you won't be eating spaghetti any time soon. :)

This has been a really good week so far. Work is going well. The dogs are doing great. Everything is really good.

Hope everyone is doing well. Email me and let me hear from ya!

Up all night!

Have you ever been so excited about something that you couldn't sleep? That happened to me last night. I got an idea and it was so good that I had to start working on it right away.

What's the big deal? I decided that I am going to start a foundation to help get school supplies for kids who can't afford them. Yes, I know I have no idea what I'm getting into. Yes, I realize that I don't even have kids. Blah, blah, all your talk. I'm doing it.

I spent the whole night steaming ahead with this idea. I have 95% of the kinks worked out. Be on the lookout, because this thing is going to be great!

The Golf Gods Mock Me!!

I swear the golf gods must hate me! I'm on my way to play my first round in 2 weeks and wham! — flat tire. One? Oh no, two! Yep. Two flat tires @ 7:00 am on the interstate. Gotta love that!

Anyway, I have just 5 words for anyone in the market for tires: Buy the road hazard insurance! I spent $4/tire a year ago for the insurance. I'm not sure why I did, because I had only had one flat tire in 12 years, but boy am I glad I did. I've had three road hazards in a little over a year. (Damn, I've had two today!)

So, long story short, spend a little now, save a lot later. They guy told me that it would have cost me $329 to get replace the two tires I had. That just about made me sick. Then I started thinking, "Why the hell did I ever spend so much on the tires I bought? That's obscene!"

With the exception of keeping all four wheels on the road, things are going well for me right now. I love my job. The people are fabulous. My wife is doing great. We spent "quality time" together this morning washing cars! The dogs are fantastic. They're a little depressed about not being on the webcam recently, but I promised 'em to run it more this week. My brother-in-law, Keith, is out of town. What more could one guy want?!

Y'all have a great week. I'll try to post more later. Oh, one more thing, please click here to send Merrin an email. Tell her to post something sometime!!

Attention, World!

Have no fear! Kevin to the rescue!

I have been selected –no, chosen– to head up the vittles department at the wedding shower we're throwing this weekend for two friends. Who in their right mind would assign this task to me? Most likely no one. But, we're not talking about someone in their right mind, we're talking about my wife. :)

Anyway, I have vowed to search the earth for tiny treats and frosty beverages. Stay tuned to the great quest for all the details! Or, if you don't have the patience, I'm laying 2:1 odds that we end up with chicken fingers, veggie trays, and lots of beer. Any takers on that bet?

Life has been very good over the past few days. I really can't go into specific details right now because certain people may be reading this. (No, Mom, not the FBI.) Anyway, I hope to have some really exciting news later this week. I mean, in addition to the vittles.

Have a great day. Argh!
