Since upgrading to Snow Leopard and running the most recent, 64-bit version of Safari (Version 4.0.3 (6531.9)), I've been experiencing the most annoying error. After several minutes using Google Reader in Safari on OSX, I receive an error message: "Oops…an error occurred. Please try again in a few seconds." Once Google Reader resumes, I can … Continue reading Google Reader "Oops.. an error occurred" messages in Safari
The Good News: Looks like the have ((finally)) added search functions to Google Reader. The Bad News: It took like… a year(!!) for Google to add the "google" into Google Reader. Ugh.
Rob sent me a feed item (from his Google Reader, nonetheless!) from DownloadSquad that hints that search functionality may be coming to Google Reader. I've whined and cried for seven months that Google Reader should have search. Now it looks like I just may get my wish. In the words of C3PO, "thank the maker!"
I have been getting intermittent Google Reader outages for the last two days (HTTP 400 errors). Is anyone else having trouble with Google Reader? HELP!
Checking in with how I use my Google Reader for news feeds: From your 285 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 20,177 items, starred 9 items, and shared 0 items. I'm going to keep an eye on these stats because — to be honest — I'm still way, way behind on my newsreader, … Continue reading Google Reader Stats
Nick Baum of the Google Reader Blog says the Google Reader team looks to bloggers for ideas to innovate and extend Google Reader. I have only one suggestion for Nick on how to improve Google Reader: Add Google to it. I'm nearly three weeks into my Google Reader trial, having given up NetNewsWire. (More here & here). Long story short: Google Reader is outstanding. Start using it now. Do not pass go. Etc, etc. Google has been making regular improvements, but – the one flaw of Google Reader remains – you cannot search your current … Continue reading Google Reader still missing "Google" feature
I've made a conscious effort to throw off my NetNewsWire/NewsGator Online addiction and spend three days with Google's new RSS reader offering, Google Reader. First impressions? Google Reader is absolutely slick. It's to RSS readers what Gmail is to web-based mail. They've gotten just about everything right. So much so, that I'm ready to anoint … Continue reading Three days with Google Reader
I have to say a big thanks to Rob for alerting me to the new hotness of the revampled Google Reader. While I've been a pretty loyal NetNewsWire/NewsGator Online user, I can definitely appreciate the power that the new Google Reader is throwing down. It's so good, I'm going to give Google Reader a week … Continue reading Google Reader: Oh it is brought-en
For the better part of seven months, I've been saying that Google Reader is the shiz (10-2006 Google Reader: Oh it is brought-en) despite the fact that Google Reader still has no search function. (UGH!) Well, now Google has has brought-en it again: Google Gears brings offline access to Reader. As of today, you can … Continue reading Google adds Gears, brings offline access to Reader
